I know you're not all as old as me, but for anyone else in the over 50s club, you can now book your Covid vaccination online without having to wait to be called.

I've got mine booked for tomorrow :D

Thanks Mouse .....you were lucky to get an appointment so quickly when I just looked the earliest I could get is 28th March. I am going to actually book mine later today so I can actually look properly at the available centres. I was debating if I should wait to be called by our surgery or not but would like to get it over and done with as DH felt quite rough for a day or two after so I am prepared in my mind for feeling a bit ill which is hard for me as I very rarely feel ill.

Not ever one feels ill pixie dust after their vaccination. I didn’t and neither did my husband. Or just lucky !

That's good to hear as I know a couple of people including DH who were quite ill and ended up in bed the next day but also I think it depends on which one you have.

Anecdotally, I've heard that some of the people who felt ill after having vaccine are those that have had covid. :huh: but who knows?!

Strangely my doctors invited me for my jab 3 weeks ago and I got a next day appointment and I'm 3 year of 50. Wonder what they are not telling me :laughing: I did query it but was told no I was on the list.

Dh had side effects after his jab but I didn't have any apart from a sore arm but that wasn't anything too major.

Get them booked everyone looks like the fast rate will slow down in the next few weeks because of supply issues

My brother was invited for his as he's got an underlying health condition. That was a surprise for him as he didn't know he had anything wrong with him :laughing:

He thinks it could possibly be from an illness he had about 15 years ago! He was very ill at the time, but it's not something that has bothered him since.

One of my mums was borderline for gestational diabetes 4 yrs ago .... and she got called for a vaccine!

I've been and had it done.

The whole process was so well organised, I was impressed! I was told to be prepared for feeling rough, so I'll wait to see what happens. So far I feel completely fine, but it's only been a couple of hours :laughing:

I’m in the over 60’s club and had mine 3rd March. Had the chills in the evening and a few aches the next days but felt fine by mid day so 24 hours really. Dr Hilary said this morning that side affects were a good sign that your body is working hard against it and building up your antibodies! Who knows??
