What a lovely sunny day it is today. It's still very windy, but I'm indoors so it's not bothering me!

I had a nice long lie in this morning, then a relaxing soak in the bath. I do enjoy my leisurely Fridays :D

This afternoon the boiler is being serviced so I need to stay in until they've been. Then I'm going to go for a wander round Sainsbury's - this lockdown life is all go  I'm really looking forward to being able to venture further afield on my day off.

Did anyone watch the programme last night about Dunblane? It was very sad. I remember the day so well. My eldest son was the same age as the children who died and I can remember seeing about it on the news and just wanting to go to school and get him. Afterwards there were lots of changes made to how people could get into the school - external door handles removed, school gates locked, only access to the school was through the office. I suppose to most parents now, that's how it's always been and they won't realised changes were made because of the tragedy.

That's the boiler engineer just pulling up outside, so I'll go and let him in.

I hope you all have some sunshine where you are. Enjoy the rest of your day

I didn't watch the programme Mouse, but I saw it advertised. I remember it well too, and yes, so many changes were made to schools security after that. I remember my own infant school - all the old ladies (does that sound ageist?) used to cut through our playground rather than go all the way round. They could just walk through one gate to the next. We used to love chatting to them as we played at lunch time. We also just had a little picket fence that we could just step over. It's like Fort Knox now though.

Almost time to pack up the playroom for the weekend!

Maza, our school playground used to be used as a cut through, especially for little old ladies

Afternoon.

Envious of the sun! It keeps raining here with grey clouds! Although the sun does pop out every now and again!

We've been looking at daffodils thanks to the hygge box, and on the school run, we're going to look for daffodils ( mine are all still in bud ... although some that grow at the front of my house, don't seem to have even come up this year! ) although currently having a quiet half hour watching a wiggles dvd. The mindee that got up at 4am is still wide awake, the one that got up at normal time, has flaked out and my other 2 are asleep in bed. Nearly time to get up for school run!
