I think it’s Wednesday, isn’t it?

I’m off to collect the food shopping this morning. I know the supermarkets have been incredibly busy, but as this is a pre-order we don’t have to join the normal queue. That’s a relief because it’s chucking it down and I didn’t fancy standing in the rain!

After that I’m off to do my son’s housework as we’re going there for Christmas Day. He’s got a bigger table than us and more space, so it makes sense, even though there will now be fewer of us than we’d originally planned. He’s working until tomorrow and, as we’ll be descending on him, I thought it only fair that I cleaned up for him. Plus I want to know it’s done properly before I eat there :ROFL1:

This evening I’m going to wrap the last couple of presents, sort the Christmas stockings and take the meat out of the freezer. Then that’s me done! Christmas Eve will be a totally chilling day :D

Have good days everyone, especially if you’re still working

The queues at our local asda were horrendous looking at the photos on fb. Im wondering if its due to people worrying about foot shortages.

I will go tomorrow early to get some crusty bread and that's it i all done.

Still doing all the Christmas clean up. Though I'm not sure why I need to reorganise as I go

We've just been to collect our food from Marks and Spencer. We can't work out if the roast potatoes are for the freezer or fridge - did anyone else get the goose fat ones from M and S? We've decided on fridge.

While we were standing in the queue we got a phone call from our neighbour saying that DD has locked herself out. She was taking in my hobbycraft order (yey! It arrived in time) and closed the door to stop the puppy running out. It was raining and she had bare feet. Fortunately our lovely neighbour took her in and looked after her until we got home. All part of the growing up learning curve!

I'm going to wrap the last of the presents today and I've got a couple of cards to deliver locally. I'm going to clean the bathrooms and wash the dogs blankets so that he can have a fresh bed on Christmas eve.

Have a lovely day everyone. x

Chap came to service boiler ... so I had to move a few bits ... cue me having a reorganisation... which has ended up taking over 3 rooms! ... however .. think it's sorted now .. still need a good hoover though!

I just need to make choc log today .... prep veg and cook ham tomorrow and think I'm there! .... feels very odd, I'm usually not quite this organised. So glad I decided not to work today!

How wrong was I?

There were no queues at all for the actual shop, but we ended up waiting 30 minutes outside in the rain for our food order!! Next year I might just take my chances and get in instore

We might just do the same as when we collected our order they didn't have our dessert and failed to mention that when we picked up and only found out when I got home! I quickly ran in to the shop to get some milk and was surprised how empty of customers but plenty of food on the shelves. Nevermind who needs desserts anyway

We are one of the areas that will be moved in to Tier 4 from Boxing Day..lots of people have put on social media how they are struggling with it all now. Hopefully we will come out of the other side soon.

I hope everyone gets to have a lovely Christmas even though it will be a bit different for a lot of us. x
