Happy Thursday everyone! It’s my last working day until the new year :clapping:

I’ll only have 2 children here today as the others have already finished for Christmas. We’re going to have a very relaxed day with free play this morning and a movie this afternoon for the older one while the younger one sleeps, She’s asked for Frozen 2, which I haven’t seen, so I’ll sit and watch it with her. We’ve got popcorn and hot chocolate bombs to enjoy while we’re watching it :D

Once the children have gone home I’ll pack away the toys so we’re (almost) back to being a family home. I can never quite get rid of all the traces of childminding but I’ll give it a good go  Then from tomorrow I’ll be in full ‘get ready for Christmas’ mode! Presents will start to go under the tree and I’ll get planning for Christmas Day. It’ll be odd not seeing friends over Christmas this year, but at least it’ll save on the drinks bill

Have good days everyone.

Ooooh, I'm excited for you Mouse! I finish next week.

I'm so cross with Hobbycraft. I placed quite a big order and stupidly put my old postcode on the form. I found a form to fill in to amend it but didn't receive confirmation that they have seen it. I've just had an email from Hermes confirming that they will deliver my parcel and it still has the incorrect postcode on it. I'm still trying to get hold of hobbycraft but it's pretty much impossible.

My mindee is currently using a cat litter tray (obviously not used for cat litter) as a roasting tray and is roasting all the gift bows! We hear 'beep, beep' and he uses a spatula to transfer them all to a bowl. I do love it when they use their imagination.

DD finishes at lunchtime tomorrow, so I want to wrap the last couple of her presents today during mindee's nap time.

Evening!

Where did today go? Busy but fun... apart from when I got to school to do my early collection and when they haven't appeared after 10 minutes, I'm told they were off poorly today! Luckily I was collecting others, so it wasn't a wasted trip!

Just watched a lovely twitter live feed of the high school Carol Service from a local church ... just 13 or 14 yr 11s ( including DD ) playing/ singing/ reading etc. Really sad to have missed being there 'live' as DDs last one, but so lovely that they did it, and actually that it was recorded so they'll have it forever. There are about 120 in the year, but this group are the 'music' lot and have formed such a strong bond over the past 5 years. It was just them, music teachers, vicar and head teacher.

I only had a yr6 after school today but my 2 grandsons have been with me all day. I’m exhausted! The eldest one is 6 tomorrow and is so excited. He wanted to do craft gifts for all his nannies and grandads and cousins. That took most of the morning up. Then after lunch we watched dr Doolittle together and had snuggles on the sofa. Probably not allowed but I enjoyed it. Thought I was working till Wednesday next week but may be only Monday now. So fingers crossed🤞🏻🤞🏻
