Okay I am booked on my Pre-Reg and ICP in September, and my Pediatric First Aid for November.

I already have a food safety qualification from June this year.

What other courses should I be looking at doing? Ideas please.

Thanks in advance.

health and safety and oppertunity and inclusion always look good to Ofsted and safeguarding children. They like to see you do continued training though so i wouldnt do them all at the same time .If you do one a term it shows that you are continually improving your knowledge. Keep a list of courses you would like to do then you can show Ofsted that too when they inspect you

Thanks

I have Health and Safety as well forgot about that, and I'm doing an online equality and diversity course at the moment.

I will look at booking a Safeguarding/Child Protection for after Christmas.

Thanks again

I went on an excellent working with parents course recently...

It's not essential but if you get a good trainer, it's really helpful! :D

Pace yourself with training and courses though - don't overload. There is so much to take in and put into practice so do it all in bitesize chunks.
(note to self - take own advice:rolleyes: )

I know, but I'm starting a Foundation degree in October as well, so trying to get as much in before that as possible. Also just finishing some OCN units on brain injured children etc. And have a couple of one day NAS training days/seminars coming up.
