Good morning everyone.

We’ve got a lovely sunny day today so my morning jobs have been outdoor jobs. I’ve been out sweeping leaves and cutting back a couple of trees. Much as I love all the trees in the garden, the falling leaves drive me mad. The worst offending trees look virtually bare now though, so hopefully I’ll not have to do it for much longer!

Do any of you have hedgehogs in your garden? We have a lot of wildlife in ours - foxes, squirrels, mice, toads. I often look for signs but never see any evidence of hedgehogs, which I would love. We’ve got plenty of places where they could hide so I’m now researching how to attract them to the garden. I’ve got plenty of leaf piles ready for them

Tonight is my busy viewing night with Bake Off, Holby and Masterchef the Professionals. There can’t be many weeks left of Bake Off now. Is it always shown at this time of year? It seems a bit odd showing it in November when it’s filmed in the summer.

Enjoy the rest of your day

Afternoon everyone ....well I had an eventful start to my Tuesday as one of my mindees who has just turned 4 had a full on melt down as we were trying to leave for the school run, refusing to leave the house and then basically refusing to walk up the road, not really sure why this happened as nothing happened to trigger it apart from having to go to school. I felt that everyone was watching me! She doesn't do it often but when she does she goes for it big style:mad: Ended up with one of the children being late for school due to the staggered start times!

We have spent most of the morning out in the garden getting plenty of fresh air, your garden sounds like such a lovely environment Mouse our is pretty basic with some grass/decking and a few pots for flowers. We get a few birds come in the garden to feed.

Fingers crossed the afternoon school run is a bit calmer.

Aw, hugs to you Pixie and your Mindee.

I've only got 2 here during the day and both are a bit out of sorts! Both wanted to go outside .... We went outside and both wanted to go in! We ended up with an early lunch and bed! Fingers crossed that solves it!
It was bright and sunny, but it's now overcast and dark, with clouds zooming across the sky.

I get occasional frogs in the garden and a newt! .... I think probably from when there was a pond here years ago. We just rehome them back to my neighbours pond... although I'm sure they come back! Sometimes see a squirrel. We get alot of pigeons and last week a pheasant spent an afternoon on the patio! Not many other birds though .... and much as I'd like to encourage them, I have 2 hunter cats and they don't need any help or encouragement! We do get lots of butterflies and bees though.
