Basically .... work as normal, but we stay home if possible?

With just local walks? And school runs?

What about car trips out to feed the ducks? ( we don't have any in walking distance! )

I am sure we will have clearer guidance in a day or two, I think the whole announcement was rushed through due to someone leaking the story to the media.

Who knows I'm expecting the dfe etc to release more information soon.

But all we have is this

New National Restrictions from 5 November - GOV.UK (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/new-national-restrictions-from-5-november?utm_source=28782de1-2968-401b-88b8-7ffe7db0d6b8&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=govuk-notifications&utm_content=immediate)

Just hoping little businesses can survive this

I think we stay open as normal for parents that are working. Expecting local authority to be in there offices now writing up new information for us. It wasn’t very clear.

One of mine messaged me last night & sent a link to the government info that says we can stay open. I took it as a hint that she expects me to keep working (which is what I planned anyway!)

I think the only bit I need clarification on is if we can stay open for all children, or just those that need us so they can work. My new starter's mum runs her own business and will have to close. I know she'll want to keep bringing her daughter so I hope she can. It would be a shame to have done her settling in visits, just for her to have to have time off.

I'm hoping that we can continue to have all children .... if schools are open for all children, then we should be.

That's what I'm hoping. Although if this mum isn't working I don't know if they will afford to send their daughter. All the other children should still come as normal.

Apparently teaching unions are calling for all schools to close.

I was wondering what happens if mum is working but dad is at home? It’s not a new set up child comes when dad is at home anyway do we continue? Hope local authority will make it clearer. Last lockdown if they had someone at home to look after them they couldn’t come.

Only one parent has been in touch with me also. Unusual.

Yes, I guess that's the best thing to do now

Nope, nothing here! ... just yet more reminders about what to do in case of positive tests!
