Blimey it's cold :cold::cold: I've given in to the family pestering and have put the heating on! I know it's cold when my finger nails turn purple and they're a lovely shade today  I've also got socks on (I normally have bare feet) so I couldn't really deny that it is freezing.

We've got a very quiet weekend with very little planned. It's quite nice really. I've been pottering around this morning, doing odd jobs and sorting random drawers. It's amazing what you find tucked away  I had a parent visit yesterday so had a good clean then. It means the house is nice and tidy and I haven't got any housework to do :clapping:

Does anyone watch anything good on TV on a Saturday night? I tend to sit flicking through channels but never really find anything to watch. I nearly always end up with repeats of Friends or NCIS!

I hope you're all having good weekends. My thoughts are with any of you who have to take children to outdoor sports events - I hope you don't take too long to defrost!

We went to Weatherspoons for breakfast. We like it there because they do three sizes of breakfast, so DD and I have the small and don't feel over stuffed afterwards and DH can get a medium and feel full. They do bottomless coffee too. We browsed a couple of shops and had a lovely morning. I bought some Christmas biscuits. :)

Now we're all just chilling. DD is felting pumpkins, I'm on here and DH is looking at shelves as I need some in my playroom. He's also bought me a new mini shed because we currently have a teeny tiny one and it's such a nuisance setting up for outdoors as everything is stacked up and not really accessible.

We're going to look in some charity shops this weekend because I need a new single buggy and don't really want to pay for a new one if I can help it.

Mouse, we watch BGT because DD likes it, but I'm over it now.

Well, we've had our visit for the covid 19 study.
Questions and swab tests done.. results go to drs, so we'll be contacted if positive.
Tried to take blood .... but my veins wouldn't play... even after 2 litres of water and a hot water bottle on my arm .... nothing! I do always struggle when drs etc want any blood! ... apparently because I have low blood pressure, that doesn't help, combined with deep, small veins!
Going to try again in a month!

Doing nothing else .... sitting by woodburner and reading. ( I do have stuff to do, but no impetus to do it! )

I am relaxing now after taking DS2 to uni over the weekend , we travelled up yesterday then I came home today as its a 4 hour dive and didn't fancy doing that in one day. The move went well I didn't hang around dropped him and his stuff at his halls then went to the local Premier inn. I am hoping that he will stay well but its a bit of worry after seeing how many halls are having issues with Covid spreading .

The weather has is cold and wet here and have just worked out how to put the heating on, we had a new boiler put in about 5 years ago and still struggle to work out the settings and how to put the timer on

We had a lovely day yesterday. Went to Hastings with DD2. She’s been doing it tough recently and has been living with us for the past month. So we had a mum and daughter day so she could talk out her worries in the lovely sea air. Today was spent housework and washing. Keeping everything up straight this week and hoping to go away next weekend
