My bodyclock seems to have got itself back into working mode and, even though I'm not working today, it woke me up nice and early, as if I was

I've made the most of the quiet time though and I'm sitting having my morning cuppa in complete solitude. The window's open and there's a lovely cool breeze coming in. I can hear the wind blowing through the trees and a wood pigeon cooing in the distance. Absolute bliss....if it wasn't for the sparrows, the squawking little sparrows! It sounds like there are at least a hundred of them right outside the window having a competition to see which one can be the loudest and most annoying. Their constant "cheep cheep cheep" is drilling into my head and I wish they'd just shut up and let me enjoy the peace

I've got no real plans for today. I need to finish crocheting a blanket for next week so I'll probably get on with that. I also need to look at my paperwork. I don't seem to have anything outstanding, which is unusual, so I'm sure I must be missing something!

Have good days everyone

It's so cold and really windy here today.

After school drop off today DH and i went on a brief drive around some different local streets looking at porches again. We think we have decided on what we want now and thankfully both want the same. We must look quite dodgy but I do love a good nosey at houses!

After school today we are going straight to the uniform shop to order DD's uniform for secondary school. She's so excited. They said she can actually try on the main bits of the uniform which I didn't know you were allowed to do, but I suppose they have their ways of doing it safely.

I was just chatting to another mum and she said she went to H and M over the weekend and shopped as normal, with everyone touching all the clothes on the rails. I guess it's just like food shopping though in the supermarkets where you don't know who has touched the things you buy.

Keep warm everyone!

I've been for a walk and am just pottering today. I did a good paperwork splurge yesterday, so am enjoying doing nothing!

Our next door neighbour has four feeders in the garden and so many different birds come in. I saw a nuthatch the other day. The one bird we never see is a sparrow. I love them, I know they are noisy but they remind me of being a child at home with my family. There’s a small colony near a local park though. Had one minded here today but find it so hard to motivate him to do anything.
