How many rooms do you decorate?

We have the lounge with the tree, fireplace decorated and lights along the window sill and cards blue tacked onto the door.

Dining room has quite a few garlands, table runner and centre piece, and other bits in it

Kitchen- Christmas tea towels, aprons and oven gloves, little garland across the window and craft bits on the window sill.

Bathroom - just a festive hand towel

DD's room - desk decorated to look like Santa's workshop

I also decorate the bannister in the communal area and put a few bits on the window sills. No one has objected yet.

So, only my bedroom is not festive.

Oh, our little fairy door next to the fireplace has its own little wreath on it too.

Do you stick to one main room for decs or do you treat every room to a little sparkle?

My playroom and porch are decorated for the children! Sitting room has tree and cards, a few garlands and cards in dining room, a few decorations and lights in kitchen and that's that. I don't do loads of decorations and I can't do tinsel, but we do have pretty baubles handing off every door handle!

Every room.
Living room is main with tree and mantle and fireplace and corner hanging baubles.
Dining room has paper danglies from old and a mini little village scene with church etc.
Hall has cards hanging on ribbons.
Kitchen twinkly lights and oven mitts and tea towels.
Downstairs loo - this is our camera museum plus some pretend stickers that look like frames, I change the photos in there regularly. Last year we were given an instamatic type camera and so took lots of silly photos which I have put I in the sticker frames on the wall this year....the same people are visiting so I thought it would make them smile when they went to the loo....we are all wearing festive props so it is a Christmas photograph wall really.
The bannister has a garland and little birds.
We have a large landing and I like it up there all woodlands and stars in lights with China tea lights nativity - an heirloom.
All the rooms upstairs have twinkly lights around the ceiling /wall and a mini Christmas tree.
Bathroom has a big Santa on the back of the door -40 years old, DH and I had it on our dek a corri at Uni so it’s another item to make you smile when visiting the smallest room! We have Rudolph towels.
The boys rooms have Christmas bedding.
The music room is decorated with little hoops representing carols- I made it with my class about 25 years ago and it wasn’t taken down from the school entrance until after the children had finished for Christmas so I claimed them and they go up every year, guests will often play the carols after a few drinks on Christmas Eve. The music is permanently out on the piano.

I stick to natural garlands and pine cones etc.. so quite subtle, though as I read this list it doesn’t sound like it.

Kitchen, 6ft sparkly tree and lots of little decs on shelves.
Lounge, our proper xmas tree and garland over the fireplace with lights.
Hall, a reindeer with lights and cards.
Downstairs toilet has little bits on the walls.
Plus outside, lights around our tree and big giant baubles near the door. oh plus a wreath.

I do lounge, hall and stairs, kitchen/dinning area, conservatory. We have bauble decoration in porch with a door wreath and lights top the top of the house and as I had the drive done this year I have lights and garland along the railings and wall. However, having been told by police last night that a house across the green from me was burgled yesterday I’ve kind of lost a bit of Xmas spirit. They have 2 young boys and I really feel for them

I don't have a fireplace but I do miss it at Christmas

Very little now. I find the older I get the less I decorate And the more Christmas stuff I donate to the charity shop! I do love Christmas though.
