***A REMINDER - KNOW YOUR SAFEGUARDING***

During Ofsted inspection safeguarding is a limiting judgement.

This means that if you mess up a safeguarding question you mess up your inspection.

You MUST know what to do if an allegation is made against you or a staff / family member ...

You MUST know what to do if a child tells you they are being abused ...

You MUST know what to do if you suspect a child is being abused ...

You MUST know your Local Safeguarding Children Board reporting procedures ...

You MUST know the types of abuse and how to recognise them ...

You MUST know how to protect children from being radicalised and exposed to extremism including how to protect them online ...

You MUST actively promote British values which MUST be embedded in your day-to-day curriculum ...

You MUST keep accurate statutory records eg accident, injury and first aid, medication, physical restraint and complaints ...

You MUST be able to show evidence that you have done a recent (2 - 3 years depending on LOCAL requirements) safeguarding training course ...

You can't mess about with safeguarding during inspection!!

I have all the information about who to call and when on my notice board in playroom.
