Hi guys, can anyone recommend a good mobile/ipad app where I can sign in /sign out children nice and quickly when they arrive and leave my home?

Now this is where is still use paper and pen. So will you then print it all off for ofsted or be able to show 'years' to them from the app?

I use an 'ap' - an online software programme that I use for everything, including attendance. There is an option to get parents to sign that the attendance is correct, which I think helps if there are any disputes, but I don't use this facility. The attendance then informs my invoices and book keeping. The information is on there for as long as you want it and pay.

Ofsted didn't look at my attendance information on my inspection.

I was asked if I used my software to record attendance. I said yes.....we moved on to something else. She basically checked I recorded, but didn't want to see it.

My inspector looked thoroughly at mine. She noticed on one page that I had just written the child's first name and no surname. She picked me up on that. On the other pages and at the front of the register I had written both names, but she had a keen eye! Fortunately she didn't mark me down because of it but I was totally paranoid about my registers from then on, and double checked them all before my next inspection.

Mine looked through my paper one and commented how I recorded exact times as oppose to 7.40/8.50 etc.
