So today we get the letter home telling us that the school photos can be viewed online and ordered. I used my personal ID to view her photos and while she had an individual photo taken, she wasn't on the class photo taken in the same week. (She was present at school that week). It is the modern way of taking a class photo - where the photographer takes several photos of groups of three or four children in relaxed poses and then blends them all together to make a class photo.

I spoke to DD and she said that on the day her teacher asked the children to put up their hand if they hadn't had a group photo taken yet - DD put up her hand but for some reason the teacher didn't say anything. Her teacher seems great and very organised, but obviously was distracted at the time and it just got overlooked.

Would you say anything? I'm not angry as I know how these things can happen, but obviously I am disappointed. I can't believe they didn't have some sort of tick sheet. I really don't want to get the teacher in trouble as there's no harm done, but I am irked. I thought of mentioning it to just her so that she would know next year to double check everyone, but my DD won't be in her class next year anyway.

Should I just leave it? Nothing can be done about it now anyway.

I would have to say something if only to make sure it didn't happen to another child. Another family/child could be really upset by it.

What a shame that DD missed out. I know that my daughter was often missing on class photos, but that was because she didn't want them done.

I think I would mention it to the teacher and would probably ask if there was any reason why your daughter wasn't included on the group photo.

Ahhh that's a shame. I would also mention it, mainly so it doesn't happen again. The teacher needs to prevent this happening for future years. Whilst it may not upset you that much other families would hit the roof and cause a stink. You can imagine how busy it must be when the photographer is there but I'm surprised it wasn't better organised.

I would just mention it in passing...

Say..I had a quick look at the class photo online yesterday and its lovely ...any idea why my dd wasn't on it?

Teacher will probably feel awful but will make sure it doesn't happen next time

My son was missed out of the individual photos last year, I'm still not quite sure how it happened! I did speak to the school, just to make them aware, and they were mortified.

The school secretary offered to drive him to another school to get it photo taken! It was kind but I wasn't THAT bothered lol.

I'd just pop into the office and have a word or drop them a quick email just so they know it's happened.

Gosh Kellib that's shocking!
I think the school do need to know, if it was me (praying that it never is, lol) I would want to know in a strange way, just so that I could ensure it doesn't happen again.

What's a class photo?

Guess I must have missed more than just double maths while I was in the boiler room sharing fags with the caretaker.

Oh no! I can see how this happens with the new style photos but you'd have thought they'd have some sort of register for it. what a shame
