HI, I've received my DBS certificate now but now need to wait for my husbands to be done. I just wondered how long it took from sending off the ofsted application to becoming registered? I know it will differ greatly but would just like to have an idea - is it a few months, a year? Any advice would be greatly appreciated :). It's very frustrating at the moment as can't do anything to move things along until I get the DBS through!

Sorry it just takes as long as it takes, could be 3 months or could be 6 months or longer if there is a problem with a DBS or doctor's medical form.
Maybe you could do some free or cheap on-line training while you are waiting, start to get some policies in place, work out how and where you will advertise but unless you are 100% sure that there won't be a problem with your OH's DBS or your medical form I wouldn't spend too much money on equipment and resources yet or promise potential customers a space.
