As Sarah recently wrote on Facebook page- There is a requirement in the new early years inspection framework to keep children safe online (linked to the prevent duty) - and there is a requirement in the Eyfs to work in partnership with parents. Sarah posted a useful leaflet there we could send to parents and talk with older children who go online.
BUT I work with under 3s. Does anyone have any helpful links to leaflets/advise about keeping very young children safe online? Of course one might say they shouldn't be online but we all know that 18mth olds are better operators of iPhones than some adults and as parents more and more use iPads to keep their children amused this is a growing issue.

I have had a quick look and found this so far: Keeping young children safe online - Childnet (http://www.childnet.com/parents-and-carers/hot-topics/keeping-young-children-safe-online)

I think that's a good website Moggy ... it's about early radicalisation and exposure to extremist views so anything we can do to raise parents' awareness of the issue has to be a positive thing x

Double thread...but useful to be reminded.

The EYFS and previous EY guidance has always had a focus on keeping children safe online....it is then reflected by Ofsted in their inspections and guidance
