This 'Autumnal' weather that we are having right now keeps making me think that Strictly will be on soon too!

It just goes to show, you can serve up a smashed cake and still stay in the completion. The bloke that chucked his away last year might have stayed in.

Always serve it - the taste of it can save you :D

Was it series 2 when Rob dropped his and still stayed in.

And as Sue says its "only cake"

She should have scrapped the unset mousse off, crazy that she still assembled it, it was obvious it would collapse.

My preferences, in order:-

Taste
Quantity
Seconds
Thirds
"Have you finished with that?"
Lick the bowl
And finally..................what it looks like.

Thought: would 'Eton Mess' taste half as good if it were just 'Eton' ?

I bet she would have done if she was at home - I wonder if panic kicked in?

Maybe the lady with the collapsing cake should have just left it in the plastic sleeve and called it Trifle - it had sponge, fruit & mousse?

You have missed absolute classics - my favourite was the theft of Howard's custard (this incident was even used in the script of Outnumbered)

There's some talk of Cake-Off being rigged this year. My neighbour was in the bookies yesterday and was told they were not accepting bets until the BBC had answered a few questions from the bookmakers.

Why anyone would bother.................?
