Well as the title says ive received an email from pacey to say from April 1st they will no longer be our support. It is for Hampshire. It will now be prospect who will take over.

Not sure how i feel about it. Im hoping it will be a positive move?

Pacey lost the contract in my county. It leaves us in a bit of a vacuum.

............it remains to be seen whether that constitutes an improvement.

NCMA lost the Contract in our County years ago and we had a wobbly period but settled down fine. No problems now we have an EY team that actually are just as supportive and actually answer emails. My local Pacey person never returned phone calls or emails I only saw her twice in 7 years and she never came to see me at home.

When did you get the email? I'm in hampshire too, but haven't heard anything about them losing the contract..... Oh well, communication and consistency was never their strong point.

We lost our NCMA support years ago. It was a blow to start with as they had been excellent for childminders (had all be childminders themselves). They pushed for us to be included in training, grants etc, and were always very helpful.

After they'd gone we went through a bit of a lull when cms were forgotten about, but then the LA realised how much they need us in the area and started to get their act together.

I am in Norfolk and Childminding Matters lost the contract to support us as from 1st Jan 2015 so we are now waiting to hear how the LA are going to support us as in the past they concentrated on the nurseries/pre schools. Our council like everyone else has suffered from huge budget cuts.

We are losing our Pacey support in March :-( still waiting to hear what support will look like going forward - Nottinghamshire.
