Advice on hiring assistants?

Can they start work with you before getting the suitability letter back from Ofsted? obviously she would never be left alone with the children at any time and I have risk assessments done on this etc. She has had a previous DBS done beginning of this year. I have parents wanting childcare but can't take them on unless I have an assistant

Yes, you can start an assistant before the DBS comes through - as you say the assistant won't be left with children so no problem :thumbsup:

I think Sarah Neville gave you this answer on the FB group. No you can't increase ratios until you get the relevant paperwork from Ofsted
