Just looked at my rent agreement and it states no trading or profession only to be used as private residence so I'm guessing I can't do it then until I move ??? Anyone rent and allowed?

could i still have a pre-reg visit or do i also have to wait till i move this time next year (hopefully)- if i do have a year what things could i do apart form go on first aid, food course and go to the pre reg council briefing???

I would query it with the landlord / housing association. I know of a few people that have had a similar situation and the landlord has been happy for them to mind and so adds a clause to the tenancy agreement that you can both sign.

Generally if you are happy to demonstrate that you will maintain the property correctly and you'll have all the relevant insurances etc they can be more amenable to the idea xx
