I watched that earlier on, but have to say, I didn't really see what it was other than an advert for a consultancy firm. Have I missed the point? I found it excruciatingly painful to watch, mainly because the acting was so bad! I didn't actually make it to the end, so maybe there more to it that I saw.

And the comments: "Every nursery manager should see this!"

Well, you would say that Sue Overton - it's your company you're advertising!

I saw that posted on the OBC fb page and felt frustrated by it. People aren't complaining about being downgraded when they aren't meeting the statutory staff levels etc. It is rather that they're fed up of individual inspectors downgrading on their personal whim because there was no windmill in the garden, or Klingon language on the welcome sign, or even *gasp* no welcome sign at all!! I agree that it just seemed to be an awkwardly made advert, and I felt a bit patronised by it.

I just took the video as it was, I didn't look for anything else:who made it or why and can fully understand and empathize with it's message.

Yes...I wonder how many interpretations and reactions the video will produce according to how we look at it...for me there is a clear message even though I would have put it in a different way

The video has been circulated widely on twitter and linkedin so thought I'd share it here too.

It's a training video - if you use it as such you can clearly see that it raises a lot of different discussion points...

The provider was working out of ratios - but so do a lot of nurseries and childminders (some without even realising) ...

We all want another week before Ofsted arrive... !! and much more...

We have used it here to discuss how we might improve and what we are doing well - we also used this film from Ofsted which shows the other side of the coin :D
