Hi all, this is my first post here and childminding is completely new to me.

Here goes,

Me and a colleague (we both work in a nursery) are looking into childminding from her home. We both want to "own" the business and both be "childminders" is this possible or is one of us going to have to become an employee ?

Hi there, i am in the same position as u guys. Myself and my friend worked in a nursery and have applied to both be registered childminders in her parents home. I assume we can both be joint partners with this and will get a business bank account. We are awaiting ofsteds visit :-)

hi we are doing the exact same thing but from my friends house..
we were both nursery workers and wanted to join forces so to speak lol
we are splitting everything 50/50 and my friend will claim rent/housing costs etc on her expenses.
we are hoping for 6 children and after food resources etc taken out we will split the amount in half for each of us..
we had to wait 12 weeks for friends dbs wheres my took 9 days lol so registering next week
