Has anyone been to Guernsey?

We are thinking about going in the summer with 2 dogs. Apparently there are only 2 dog friendly beaches on the island. Bordeaux Harbour and Saintand's Bay. Does anyone know what these beaches are like?

Also looking for accommodation for 2 adults and 2 dogs, if anyone knows of anything.
