hello,

how do you update a policy if there is no change?
example:

equal op policy:
bla,bla,bla
bla,bla

date written: 2006
update:2007
update:2008
update:2009
update:2010
...

does that make sense? can I just write in pen the update date ( on a printed policy).
I don't want to reprint all my policies every year if no changes.
how do you do it?????

If there is no change I date and sign the document at the bottom. I only reprint if there has been a change.

I just read it through and make sure that everything still applies and if there aren't any changes then I don't update it. You could have a sheet at the front of your policies that shows when you read them through each year and whether anything got changed or not (and reason why)

eg: Child Protection Policy - reason for change - because :censored: Ofsted are now calling it Safeguarding :D

I just sign and date the cover sheet to show I have read through and updated everything. Life is to short to sign all the policies individually.
