I should be registered by the end of this month and intend to start minding in September when my daughter goes off to university.
due to the lack of minders in my area I have had lots of interest. I have already agreed to mind my own 2 grandchildren so will only have space for one other (although 2 mums are hoping to share a place) I have also been approached by parents looking for after school and holiday care, which i am not keen to do while caring for a baby and 2 toddlers.
Most minders here charge about £2.80/£3 but as we dont have Ofsted they tend not to offer planned activities. Whereas I will have a daily routine and will have planned activities and outings. I shall also offer healthy snacks, drinks and meals at no extra cost.
I am thinking of charging:
Pre-school children
Daily Rate (8 hours+) £25
Hourly Rate £3.50
School children
Daily Rate (8 hours+) £27
Hourly Rate £3.80
Would appreciate thoughts and advice
