My local primary school are trying to raise funds to set up their own library.
Does anyone have any good fundraising ideas?

Sounds simple but a cake sale? Do you have a local market you could sell at or local car boot? We used to do one on the last Friday of each month at the end of the school day.

Run a car boot at school one weekend ( and sell refreshments esp bacon butties! )

Sponsered skip/ reading/ singing/ walk... anything!

We've just been told by an ex governor that 3 years ago there was £5000 raised by the friends of the school and the parents to fund the library. The head has spent this money on other things. I'm so angry!

She bought a new software system for the school and payed for a new phonics programme.
The school os in special measures and the council have stopped them having any control over finances!
