So had my first graded inspection today and though I tried not to be I was very nervous this morning.
The inspector was lovely and really put me at ease. she asked lots of questions but also referred to my SEF a lot. Was really glad that I had done this in detail, really explained myself.
Her main interests were my planning and how effective it is and my lj's to prove the children's development. Even though my planning isn't the best which I had already admitted in my SEF as I've really struggled to find a format that works effectively for me, she was happy with it as I could explain to her how and why I do what I do. She looked at all my paperwork and made sure I was aware of what to do regarding safeguarding concerns. If I was struggling to get my brain to function she would give me time to think and little hints. She was here for 2 hrs 45 and it flew by.
There's was no need to be nervous at all.
