Is it supposed to be quite sour?

Only ever had commercially made cranberry sauce before. Thought I'd make a batch as gifts. It is really quite sour compared to shop bought. Not sure I can it away. :-(

(Hopefully my spiced quince gin is better ;-) )

Can't you reheat it and add more sugar? Or is it all set?

Or you could add a little honey.

I make Delia's every year and it is a little less sweet - but then that's why I like making my own, sometimes bought cranberry sauce just tastes like a jam.

The gin sounds good too!!

I think it depends on taste l usually buy mine from a farm shop and it is quite sharp l love it, l had run out a few weeks ago wasn't going to farm shop so brought a jar from the supermarket, a well known brand, its much to sweet and no whole fruit in it, it went in the bin and back to farm shop.
