Working with another childminder versus assistant

Hi guys,
I am currently working with two assistants, one doing a level 2 apprenticeship and the other doing a level 3. College have advised the level 3 assistant to do the baby module options to be able to become a childminder herself.
I would love to be able to have some time off occasionally (only 6 children and three adults during school hours) If she were a fully fledged childminder herself would I be able to leave her for more than the 2 hours? Or does the house owner have to be on site regardless?

If she is going to be registered as working from your house then you will be able to leave her alone, obviously if she is within numbers.

The definition of a childminder is someone looking after children on domestic property, usually their own...but it doesn't have to be. She can be registered in her own right at your address.
