Claiming petrol for school runs and outings -scotland

Hi was just wondering when claiming for petrol do you keep receipts or do you write down mileage done when childminding. Sorry its all new to me don't want to get it wrong

I have a book to record milage for each trip, 45p per mile is deductible, I also keep my reciepts just in case. Hope this helps

Yup, mileage book here too, note the start and finish mileage of every work related trip - courses attended, collections, drop offs, shopping, trips to groups, school runs, day trips (also parking tickets), toy collections off Facebook groups/selling sites
You'll be surprised at how many miles you get through
