Thanks for that. I was observing a 3 yr old today for his starting points and I noticed he held his pencil a certain way. I now know it was the 4 finger grip.

Thank you I have a poster showing 3 different grips but yours shows the different stages in between too - thanks for sharing :D

It is a good guide I think...good for remembering the different words too for the grasp!!
I have printed it and put together with my pile with the EYO...hope Mrs O will like that??

Oooo thank you that's really useful. I did an ob today on 22 month old who actually was using the pincer grip - I actually sat there in total shock watching her- young hey?! Just wondering if it was a one off and can't wait to see if she wants to colour tomorrow so I can see how she picks it up lol!
