Slow cooker ideas

Anybody got any nice recipes I can cook in mine. I use it mostly for casseroles but would like to branch out a bit and try some new recipes, maybe some sweet ones!

My personal favourite-

Spicy lentil soup

600g carrots. top and tailed not washed and grated
150g red lentils
1litre veg stock
sprinkle of chilli flakes
1-2 teaspoon cumin
125ml milk

Chuck everything in apart from the milk
cook until carrots soft
blend into a liquid
add the milk and warm through just before serving

This makes a really yummy velvety soup. My kids (16,12 and 6) all love this and haven't a clue that its packed with lentils. They all tell me that lentils are one thing they would NEVER eat..........

Although its a soup its really filling and we often have this for our evening meal with fresh bread. Great in the freezer too just don't add the milk before freezing

Winter breakfast! Just before bed- peel and chop apples, place in bottom, cover with a good layer of porridge oats and sugar if you like. Pour over the correct amount of water/milk, slow cook on low till morning! Yummy!
