My landlord said no :(

Eventually my landlord got back to me and he said I can't childmind from the house, I'm so gutted :(

I asked why and he said its due to his mortgage being a buy to let and they have certain rules and regulations, so my dream has been shattered.

Sorry to hear that, it is true that some buy to let mortgages have strange clauses in them - one of ours in our Buy to let mortgage is that we are not to let the house to students or family members. Hope you haven't spent too much money on training courses and registration fees etc - maybe you could apply to work in a Nursery instead if you are sure you want to work with children. Let us know of any updates :thumbsup:

Thank you, it was a career I wanted as I wanted to work with children but also because I have a 11mth old so can stay at home but earn a living at the same time.

I'm so sorry to hear that, what a shame for you :(
Nannying might be a good option for you, I don't think you need specific qualifications, but you can get some if you want.

You could do level 3. You don't really need to be qualified, if you can find a family that don't require qualifications. You may get paid less. You can also be Ofsted registered nanny. That may help you get a job, you would have to be police checked, have first aid and pay your money to Ofsted, I think its quite a lot around £150. Did you explain to your landlord that childminding is not counted as running a business from the home? I did have the same problem with one of my landlords but once I gave him the information regarding childminding it was fine. Good Luck

Yes, you are right. Sorry he's not more understanding. One day you may be in the position to move houses! Hope you find something that suits you and your family.

Got some great news today :) the house we was offered but couldn't move into due to timings, we got offered again today due to the other tenants causing problems so I can childmind :) :) I'm so happy, just wanted to share xx
