My daughter was driving us home last night from my sons

We were stationary at traffic lights

Lights went to green ....we went to go snd the articulated lorry next to us decided to come in our lane

As we had no where to go we knew he was going to hit us ...he did ...shunting us over and dragging us with him

Scary stuff I thought Gem who was driving and Nic sitting behind her were going to get crushed

We are all ok just aches and pains this morning .

Police happened to be passing and were brilliant to us and said it was a good job Gem had the sense to stop as it could have been much worse

The car was stuck to the lorry but managed to get it out

At least we are all ok

Oh my word...glad to hear you are all ok but I agree with others that you need to be checked out for the aches and pains.

And if you can't take the day off, then make it as easy as possible on yourself...bigs hugs...but not too big so it hurts ;)

Glad to hear everyone is ok - just shows how defenceless we are in cars against huge trucks - thank goodness neither vehicle was travelling at any speed or the outcome could have been very different :panic: What a nuisance though to have to go through insurance claims - is the car going to be written off?

How frightening for all of you, glad everyone came through it OK. I would get yourself seen by a doctor so that it is on record should any further injuries occur in the future. Take it easy and defo relax over the weekend xx

Get yourself to see your GP and get your shoulder/arm pain checked out and documented. You might need that for insurance purposes. Glad that you are all safe.

So what was the lorry drivers explanation? Weird thing to do, you have been so lucky, glad you are ok, nice warm showers for your stiff shoulder and regular ibuprofen.

Oh my word, thank goodness you are all okay. You really must go to the doctors, if any other injuries come to light or you end up needing physio etc then you'll need it all documented for insurance.
It is absolutely terrifying to be so helpless and unable to stop whats happening, I was in an awful smash with my daughter who was 2 at the time a few years ago now, but the helpless feeling was utterly awful, I could see it coming and couldn't get my car out the way (other driver speeding, on wrong side of road, on phone, tuning radio-all at the same time-all downhill into us..) Shocking. Be prepared to have some emotion and broken sleep over the next few days, and try to just chill over the weekend. Take it easy xxx
