Hi all im currently trying to update my safeguarding policy I have an examole from local authority but it is 5 a4 pages long how lng is everyones elses, any other examples would be much appreciated x

5 pages!!! wow. There are example policies on the childcare.co.uk website aswell under childminder guides. :)

In Cheshire east our Local Authority model procedures have to be adopted alongside our own procedures.
The LA one is about 6 pages - plus appendices. Mine is about 4 pages. You can't mess about with safeguarding it's really important that you cover everything you can think of - to protect you, the children, the families, visitors etc etc.
