Hi,
I'm a newly registered childminder in North Solihull. I have just started advertising my vacancies in the last week, so far I'm on the Family Information Service website, Netmums, Childcare.co.uk and I have my own website. I have had flyers and business cards made but I'm finding a lot of local businesses will not allow me to advertise my services as its for a financial gain (including local baby clinic and childrens centres). I have planned to take my little one to several different play groups this week to hand out flyers and tomorrow and I'm going around local shops/post offices/school etc to display my business card.
So, I'm just wondering if theres any other local childminders than I can network with? Its really difficult getting yourself out there but I come very highly trained- I'm an early years teacher with 16 years experience in childcare & education and I have my own two little ones, a 5 year old and a 13 month year old.
Any help or words of wisdom would be really greatly appreciated :-)
