We had flower cat put to sleep this evening.she was 18 yrs old. She stopped weeing yesterday and was drooling. Her kidneys had failed.... We knew it would happen as she was on some medication for her arthritis.

We have buried her in the rain under the bench at the bottom of the garden. Her favourite spot to sun herself.

We knew this morning it was going to happen, beachgirl28 was here when I made the appointment. She was upset too-beachy is our cat looker afterer when we go on holiday.

Devastated

Wibble.

It's so awful isn't it. One of my cats is 18 too, he is deaf and senile, but happy, but we know he probably wont have long left :(

She was a well loved and cared for cat and I did not see her much when wibble was childminding as she liked to stay out the way! (Don't blame her) But that week I came in to check on the cats she really showed me what a lovely old dear she was with her meowing and clever ways of getting me to give more treats she was a truly beautiful cat.

My family always have had different pets in my life and we have always said " Pets leave a paw print on your heart"

Mr beachy doesn't understand he wasn't allowed any pets! But I am sure when its our smokey cats turn he will be crying his heart out.

So sorry to hear about your lovely cat. 18 is a really good age and she must have left you some amazing memories. Its lovely that she is resting in her favourite place, you can sit there in the sunshine and think of her. Xxx

Sending hugs I know how you feel.

My little cat Freya was involved in a RTA in August, and although I have 2 dogs and another cat the house seems empty without her.
I do have happy memories which I will always have but its still very hard.

RIP Flower Cat :group hug:
