Just looking for a few ideas...I'd like to create a board with things like a visual timetable, menu and some pictures of the children on... I have an old pin board that I was going to use but suddenly realised that if I place this board at child height (given that it is aimed at them) then drawing pins may bot be the best option!.... How do those of you who use this type of display get around this?

no not really. on the odd occasion a new child may need to see how it works but not generally a problem

Make sure you buy self adhesive velcro as normal velco and trying to stick it doesnt work (have tried!!)

Velcro is great. My kids do pull it off and play with the pictures. But i dont mind as it is aimed at them :) they are looking at the words and exploring media. ★ xx

You could try a picture pocket, I've got one hung up with pictures of the mindees on, they love looking at themselves, I then have my family pics on the other side for when I'm not working. You can get a4 size ones for the kind of things you want to put in, I've got one but havent got around to using it yet

I have the picture pockets but it drives me mad because they bow in the middle it you only hang them on one hook, you have to hang them on two hook which is a pain.

I use the suction hooks to save hanging nails etc :)

the boards are from PTS and for the self registration board I added Velcro strips to the front and then put Velcro on the back of childs photo/name
