Becoming Accredited.

Hi, Can anyone tell me what the accreditation process involves? I have a GOOD Ofsted report and am just starting the level 3 Diploma in children and young peoples workforce. Do I have to complete this before I can apply for accreditation or can I do them simultaneously. What does accreditation involve? Do they come and assess me? Do I have to complete assessments or exams or something? Thank you in advance for any guidance you can offer.

It varies from local authority to local authority.

I think the best thing for you to do would be to contact your la and ask what their requirements are.
Do you want to be able to offer funded places? My understanding is that from September we won't need to be 'accredited'.
