Car insurance help/advice please

Hi I've got my first ofsted inspection next week and I'm quite worried as I've been driving without business car insurance. I have normal car insurance and my renewal is Saturday so I'm going to be getting the business insurance as soon as possible (obviously by Saturday). I'm just a bit worried as I didn't realise I needed business car insurance. What would you advise? I'm really worried that I'll get an inadequate rating or they'll stop me from minding

Get it NOW!!! Or don't use your car until the renewal date. Ofsted will only want to see the current insurance cert not previous ones.

Just feel lucky that nothing bad has happened. Take it as a lesson learnt & move on.

I haven't been far in the car, only 10 minutes or so. Will they definitely not want to see older certificates?

I'm not 100% that they won't ask to see them but if you're anything like me I just get rid of the previous years cert so even if they do ask I've got no way of proving it :-/

When I changed to business use all I did was ring up and it was as simple as that, no extra fee or any hassle at all

My last inspection I was asked for a current certificate and she wanted to see the reg number and business use on there

You can say "it was only 10 minutes" but someone could hit you in 10 seconds and you wouldn't be insured

It will be an inadequate if you don't have it when they come

I was not asked for mine specifically but she did look through my folder of certificates so she may well have noted it down without me knowing. I just called my current Insurance and they added business use over the phone, no extra charge.

I've called up and changed it now so am insured for business use. Thank you for your help. I just didn't know you needed it. I didn't do it deliberately
