I've got a 6 month old with me for the first time today. Mum was very upset, as I would have been too...

I thought it would be nice to do some handprints, as a sort of a pressie for mum. But wanted a really nice poem to go with it. Anyone know any I could use?

Obviously don't want to make mum feel any more upset than she is, but I thought it would be nice for him to 'give her', when she picks him up.

Please tell me if you think not a good idea....

How about this poem.

For you some hand-prints not to wipe away,
But to keep and remind you of this special day.

I did handprints with the poem above. Put his name & the date on it.

Mum loved it! - It started her crying again...

All very happy
