4 Children are advertising this conference on Thu 10 October with Truss speaking but...LOOK at the price: £260!!!
I don't like the fact Truss is speaking because that may mean she will stay at the DfE and 4Children have been tasked with facilitating agencies...so may be interesting

Another conference here by Westminster Briefing on Tue 15 October...same agenda more or less and slightly cheaper for cms at £145

perhaps it's price so high so people cant go, then she can say we didn't turn up so we are not that bothered!

I contacted 4Children who are organizing the conference and expressed concerns at the prohibitive price which would prevent cms from attending such useful meetings

I said if 4 Children would like to see cheaper childcare charging such high prices would be counterproductive
She said CCentres would attend and nurseries...ah!!! but I stressed they would send the manager, with cms we would lose a day's income on top of the cost of conference

The problem I was told is the cost of the venue...AARRGGHH!!! Hire a community centre then!!!

Truss probably wouldn't be seen dead in a community hall!
