Cssiw coming

All the CSSIW inspectors I have met are lovely and if they want you to do anything they will tell you and you just need to confirm that you have done it before your certificate is issued.

Hiya how are you x my inspection is on 27 th now september instead of the 2 nd I jad a call today so I will let you know how it goes x I was wondering did you have any paper work for the inspection such as parent packs or anything like that x hope your business is doing well x:D

No she didn't want to see any of that, she just said for me to show the parents my statement of purpose, but iv made up a little booklet with that alone with some extras.
The only paper work she wants to see is everything you sent with your application form.
She may say on the day if any alterations you need to make.
Hope it all goes well for you, in sure it will.

It's going fab so far, this month will be my proper full month tho as parents going back to work an iv got new ones starting. I also had to turn away someone the other day, I was gutted as it was a baby and would of loved to of had her but Iv already got 2 under the ages of 18months.

Hi my visit was fine thanks I got to amend a couple off poilcies and statement of purpose x

I was sooo nervous but it was ok she has a look around And I answered a couple off questions x but I do feel it went really well I was that nervous I hardly slept lol :thumbsup:

I also need a back up childminder as well for emergency x so I need to find one :D

I'm in Wales too I put my mum down as my emergency person and CSSIW said that was fine as I'm in a very rural location the next childminder is prob about 10 miles away.

I had two childminders but one has stopped minding now and I now have my DH down as he shift works along with the other minder. Do you have a local group that you could join to meet other minders?

Hi Im not really sure where they meet up only when I had my visit my inspector said for me to find another minder to have as emergency back up:)

Contact your FIS at the council and they should have the info of local groups or be able to put you in touch with a local minder

I was told by the CSSIW inspector that registered me that I didn't need to use another CM as my back up- I chose people that were CRB Checked as I didn't know any CM! I would ring to check! X

That's funny my 2 back ups aren't husband and his mother. They are both crb checked but they didn't even ask me if they were. X

I was hoping my fella could do it as he had a crb done but they suggested another cm but im gonna look in to it .

She told me to get another mc as my back up, as at first I put a relative. Luckly I met a few though playgroup so I asked one of them. Hope everything is going well Xx
