I have just received the childcare grant from the gov scheme. do I need to put this down as income? or where do I record it? tia

Yes, it goes down as income, then the items you buy go down as expenditure. Record it as a grant, and who granted it in your accounts. You'll have the accompanying letter to file as evidence.

What are we meant to do with the grant money? Do we have to spend it on resources or is for us because we have already spent a fortune on registering?
