Stupid name for today's society. So much for a modern royalty, gone all traditional. Why not do like Diana and Charles did and christen him one name for the future and called him a nickname that he would be known by

Apologies to anyone who has a George but I feel that they could of modernised it a bit

William's name is William!

I think Chatterbox meant Harry who was christened Henry but has always been known as Harry.

Yes, that's right.

Probably why George has been chosen for this baby because he's third in line to the throne and so has to have a traditional name.

I was looking at something earlier about royal names and George has been very popular for decades.

Perhaps the next one will be called bunyip! :D

I think George is a lovely name, I think it's timeless and fits as well today as it did 100 years ago. Who wants a king called Buddy Bear, or a grown man come to that...

George is presumably after the Queen's Father. Who better to please?!
