Just writing my medication policy and a little confused by the Ofsted fact sheet (080290). It says:
"If you already have written permission to give a particular over-the-counter medication to a child, and you need to, you do not have to get written permission every time you give it." but I'm sure I read somewhere that "blanket permissions" were frowned on by Ofsted. In any case, I'd want to double check in case the child had been given medicine and the parent hadn't mentioned it. Wouldn't want to over dose, especially with paracetamol.
