I look after a boy who is 5 (in reception) and is having difficulty with the concepts of today, tomorrow, yesturday etc.
I have printed off a july calender and thought of drawing/sticking stickers on important dates e.g school trips, swap around day etc. and talking about them. Is there anything that has worked for you?

Also, i've looked in the areas of learning and development but can't find a mention of it - would it come under mathematics?

'time' and time concepts was contained in KUW previously so should now be linked to UW.

Calenders the children complete themselves (with wipe boards or fuzzy felt, or magnet) so they put up a day a date and can see the weeks in a month, names of months and seasons etc

It's very common at his age. You could begin with 'yesterday' and talk what you did yesterday. The best thing is just to use 'time words' in your every day conversation. Your calendar idea is fab - I have a similar one on my fridge at the moment for my 4 and a half year old!

I think a chart that the child can complete themselves would work well
