Hey all

I will have all the safety things in place no problem for when ofsted are due out to check over my home and see paperwork etc...

The thing that's really worrying me as I am new to start out is the amount of resources I have currently are limited as they take a while to round you don't they...

Is this acceptable or...??

I have great things but plan to get lots more in time....

Thanks in advance :)
Amy

You will not be expected to have every type of resource for every age of child. You simply don't know what children you will have. It wouldn't hurt to have a selection of resources to show the inspector though. You can go through resources you wish to get.

I have a fabulous selection of musical related items!!

Lots of books (mainly aimed at younger children)

I have a great range of sensory items

A gazebo for cover for outdoor play

I have bouncers, walkers.

I have small table and chairs for younger children.

A sand and water tray table.

Wooden train set.

Dolls/prams.

Tents.

Play table for various actives.

Lots of creative things (paper, glue, paints, glitter, safe scissors, pens, pencils etc)

TV, sky, DVD player, Wii with a selection of games accessible to all ages from 3 onwards really.

Computer

Play dough and various accessories.

I do want to get some more construction items and I want to get a child's coat stand to house dressing up items (currently I don't have any dressing up!!!!! Although I am on it now lol)

I also want to get some role play props - kitchen, utensils and so on.

With all the above in place would this be an acceptable start??

Any advise is really welcomed!!

Thanks for your time!!

Yes that would be acceptable!! You have plenty!

Construction can be mega blocks or similar.

I only recently got some dressing up costumes. Try TK Maxx, some nice ones or a fiver. Also don't forget you can just use some of your old hats, bags, purses etc. You don't have to go out and spend lots of money! Children can make use of anything!

I had a list of resources I'd like to get - things requested by the children, or what I'd seen in catalogues, the inspector liked that.
