Norfolk council childminding course

Has anyone been on the norfolk councils childminding reg course?

If so do you have assignments given? What sort of things will I be looking at?

I did this course in September last year.

There weren't any assignments to do. It was all done in the evening sessions. I spent a lot of time while I was waiting for the course to start researching things. This forum was very helpful.
The course basically went through the day to day running of your childminding business, what you can and can't do and helped write policies and procedures.

:clapping: thank god, I'd read of others having to do business plans etc.

Am I able to download and apply to ofsted before the course? I want to get things progressing asap, do you remember how long it all took you?

When you apply to ofsted I think you need to put in your certificate numbers. So until you've done the course you can't apply!
There's no telling how long it'll take to be registered. I sent my application off & was registered within 5 weeks. A girl I did the course with sent her application in before I did & waited almost 10 weeks. It looks like it depends who's desk your application lands on & how fast they work!
