They take you through the pre-registration booklet here - Ofsted Pre-Registration (http://www.childmindinghelp.co.uk/freeresources/Free%20downloads/ofstedpreregistration.html)

And they ask you about how you are preparing to welcome children and their families into your home.

You will be fine! :D

Hello!

the waiting is much worse than the inspection so be calm and just be able to talk confidently about how you will settle in children, keep them safe, help hem develop etc. Talk about what resources you have and which you may wish to get. You won't be expected to have everything as you won't yet know which children you will be minding.
The inspector will have a look round your house. Talk about how you have adapted it for children e.g. Safety gates, cupboard locks.
Fill in the answers in the booklet Sarah just gave the link for and be confident you can talk about each question, not word for word, but well enough that you're not constantly referring to it. I found it hard to keep up with which question we were on.
Good luck, you will be fine

Would agree with Rick and Sarah, just complete the questionnaire that is what they base a lot of it around and be ready to chat about how you have adapted the house (risk wise etc) and what you have planned but not yet done potentially.

It is also an opportunity for you to ask them for some guidance if there is anything you are unsure about too, so have a ponder if there is anything you would like a steer on.

Good luck.

Sam
