this will be my first year for doing my tax return it all seems a bit straight forward, apart from what is the taxable allowance for the year 2011-2012 as im unsure of this

so £7475 for 2011 - 2012 but the return due to be filed in the coming months should be the 2012 - 2013 return and the allowance for that period is £8105

Can someone please tell me whereabouts in the tax return you put this figure?

You don't - when you put figures in the HMRC will calculate everything
